29.6.20 Week 12 - Sport

Hello wonderful Ducklings.

Thank you for all of your emails over the past week. I am busy working my way through them all and you will receive a message from me very soon. Once again, you have been working very hard and have enjoyed finding out about various significant people. You have taught me about Julia Donaldson, Florence Nightingale, Grace Darling and Mary Seacole to name a few. A very big well done for your consistently positive attitude towards home-schooling...I know lots of you are looking forward to a very well-deserved break over the Summer, and I'm sure that all the grown ups at home are too. What a strange few months we have had!

The Summer Term has always been one of my favourite terms at school. The days are longer and warmer, the sun shines and makes everyone feel cheery, and lots of wonderful events tend to occur. One of my favourite events on the school calendar is SPORTS DAY! This year, unfortunately, Sports day cannot run, however I thought to myself "Lets bring the theme of Sports Day into our home learning projects". So this week is now SPORTS WEEK. You may like to find out about your favourite sporting activity, your favourite sports person or your favourite football team. You may like to design your own team kit, invent your own sporting event or design a healthy menu for your favourite sports person. You may like to run your own Sports Day, with members of your family. You could design and make medals and tropies for this too. I wonder what events you will take part in?

I hope that you enjoy this weeks learning project, and as always, I am excited to see how you "run" with it.

Big high fives,

Mrs Cooper (and Mrs Hamblin) xxx
