Robins

World Book Day

The children really enjoyed the book Tuesday.  First we sequenced the story, then they had a planning session.  Finally, they created their own narrative to go with the picture book.

In the afternoon the children created their own flying frogs!

4th February 2022

The Robins class have just finished their art project based on the work of L.S. Lowry. They have learnt about perspective and using different platforms for their pictures.  The children also like hearing 'Matchstick men and matchstick cats and dogs'.  We are very proud of the children and their fabulous art!

25th January 2022

Robins continued their investigation of everyday materials.  They used gloves made from different materials and tested them for certain properties and their suitability.  Lots of learning and fun took place especially when the water came out!

w/c 17th January 2022

This half term the Robins are exploring Materials in Science.  So far they have identified and classified materials.

Robins had a material hunt around the classroom and in the playground to identify the materials of different objects.

w/c 18.01.21

The Robins class have been producing fantastic work for their topic project Land Ahoy.  They were able to choose from a selection of activities:

Pirates

The children used cardboard tubes to design their own pirates. Click on a picture to see the slideshow.

 Boats

The children created their drawings by watching an artist online.

Science:

The children were testing materials by making boats to see if they would sink or float.

Fantastic work Robins!

Robins have been busy with their online learning.  We have started 'Grandad's Island' in English.   Here is some of our home learning:

Keep up the fantastic work Robins!
