Week Beginning 3rd June 2024

In Design and Technology, the children were asked the question, 'Can two square of fabric keep you warm?'.

First the children explored different materials and different types of thread to work out which would be best. They worked very hard learning to sew a running stick as they made their own pouches. Soon the children will test their pouches to see if they really can keep you warm. Here are some of the finished designs.

Week Beginning 10th June 2024

This week in Maths the Penguins have been working very hard. Year 1 have been focusing on applying their knowledge of addition number facts to 10 to addition number facts to 20. While Year 2 have been solving division stories using practical methods.

Week Beginning 24th June 2024

This week in RE in Penguin Class the children have been exploring how Christians express their trust and faith in Jesus in Church. The children focused on two bible stories; 'A paralysed man' and 'Feeding the 5000.' The children then recreated the scenes from the story using building blocks in class as they worked in small groups. The children also enjoyed acting out the story in small groups.
